Grant Yeatman, Chief Operating Officer and Steve Pittman, Chief Development Officer, recently embarked on a journey to Hannover, Germany to take a closer look at potential suppliers and attend Ligna 2023, the world’s foremost woodworking and wood processing trade fair.

Supplier Sites: The team’s visit to our potential suppliers’ facilities was enlightening. It offered us a deep understanding of their cutting-edge plant and equipment capabilities, a crucial step as we move closer to selecting our preferred partners for our future endeavors.

Ligna 2023 Highlights: Ligna 2023 showcased a wide array of suppliers covering various aspects of our proposed wood pellet plants, including advanced technologies and automation that promise to make our torrefied “black” wood pellet plants state-of-the-art and highly efficient.

Global Sustainability: Our conversations with suppliers echoed a common vision for the global implementation of biomass initiatives to reach zero carbon targets. In Europe, there’s a strong push for “Green Steel,” and our torrefied “black” wood pellets are set to play a pivotal role in replacing coal in steel production plants.
